Welcome to Hadassah Nassau! We are a region on Long Island in New York covering Nassau County and western Queens. We have over 15,000 members in around 25 chapters and groups. Our members are a diverse group of women of all ages and stages who support Hadassah’s mission and our projects in Israel.
As a member of Hadassah, you support cutting-edge medical care and research that has an impact around the globe. You are empowered to advocate for issues such as combatting antisemitism, women’s health equity, ensuring reproductive rights, and strengthening US-Israel relations.
There is a lot going on in Nassau! Our chapters and groups, as well as the region, offer a wide array of programming. Among our offerings are book groups, films events, speakers, health programs, cards and games days and other gatherings that are educational, entertaining and social. In all we do, there are opportunities for friendship, personal growth, volunteering and leadership.
We support the Hadassah Medical Organization, Hadassah’s Youth Aliyah villages and Young Judaea through a number of fundraising activities. We are known for our Walkathon for Stem Cell Research and Beyond, this year jointly with Hadassah Suffolk.
Members receive twice-monthly emails of upcoming activities, a twice-yearly print newsletter, The Communicator and, of course, the award-winning Hadassah Magazine.
