Welcome to Hadassah Chicago-North Shore, where women across the greater Chicagoland area come together to make a tangible difference in our world. Together, we are advocating for women and families here in the US and in Israel, healing and saving lives through supporting Hadassah’s hospitals in Israel, furthering our Jewish learning, growing our leadership skills and nurturing one another.

Welcome to Hadassah Chicago-North Shore! When I joined Hadassah at the age of 26, I never imagined that I’d be writing to you today as President of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore. If you are not already a member, I encourage you to join us. Our 11,000 Hadassah members and male Associates represent every age and stage of life. We welcome both Jews and non-Jews of all backgrounds who support the mission of Hadassah.
Join us as we pay tribute to Greta Rothschild and Robert Eisenstadt, and hear from speaker Dr. Tamar Elram, Director of Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital in Israel. Melissa Isaacson, award-winning sportswriter, will emcee this dynamic evening.
Join us in person for the 19th Annual Linda Hafft Mah Jongg and Canasta Tournament! A dairy brunch will be served. Prizes will be awarded! In addition, game prizes go to winners at each table and grand prizes go to top Mah Jongg and Canasta players.
Join us for our October luncheon with Cindy Stern, Executive Director of the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema and past president of Gibora Hadassah, will highlight examples of Israeli Life Reflected through Cinema.
Join us for a wonderful afternoon with a delicious lunch and musical entertainment by Listen Up! A Cappella group. Rabbi Hannah Wallick, Director of Camp Young Judaea Midwest, will join to update us on the Camp's activities.
Please join us for games, prizes, and a delicious hot and cold dairy brunch. For mah jongg tournament, foursomes are required. Prize tickets will be available for sale at the event. Prizes awarded after play ends.
Join us for a humanitarian event raising needed funds for Hadassah’s hospitals & youth villages in Israel. Enjoy an evening of beautiful songs from the Shul Sisters in support of Hadassah’s hospitals and critically wounded patients of the Israel war.
Join us for a fun-filled Hanukkah Celebration, which will include a delicious brunch and the installation of the 2024 Executive Committee by our own advisor, Randy Heidenfelder. There will also be a pop-up boutique and amazing door prizes.
Join us as we come together to celebrate the 4th night of Hanukkah. With the light of the candles, we will celebrate with wonderful friends, good food, exciting games, intriguing prizes, and a little something to help brighten your home.
