Home for the Holidays: Another Hadassah Miracle

Noa and Yiftah Greenfield were on vacation with their family in the Republic of Georgia when their jeep slid off the narrow road and plunged into a ravine. Dr. Josh Schroeder, a Hadassah Medical Organization spine surgical specialist, flew to Georgia to prepare Noa, who had a broken neck, and Yiftah, whose leg had a compound fracture, to travel to Hadassah for life-saving surgery.

Yiftah, who recovered quickly at Hadassah following his orthopedic surgery, is home, lighting candles this Hanukah. Noa still has a long recovery and much rehabilitation therapy ahead, but she has regained use of her hands, an excellent sign, according to her doctors.

It is the season of celebrating miracles, but also of remembering that miracles don’t happen in a vacuum!
