“I’m very proud of our diverse and tightly knit team,” said Dr. Sheer Shabat, senior physician and specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, to reporter Daniel Ben-David.
Ben-David toured the Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Hadassah Mount Scopus for a story in The Jewish Chronicle (Britain) highlighting the hospital as a pillar of diversity — with “people of all faiths working side-by-side to bring people back to health.”
Navigating through the wings of the Gandel Center, Ben-David saw the state-of-the-art equipment, including a hydrotherapy pool and anti-gravity treadmills, that makes the facility “the most advanced rehabilitation centre [sic] in the West Bank region.”
Ben-David also met with a patient — a wounded IDF soldier — who said, “In this place, I learnt [sic] to walk again. And with the help of the amazing, caring people here, I will run again.”
