The novel procedure, which simulates gastric sleeve surgery, “rewires” patients’ thinking instead of removing most of each person’s stomach and is part of a study of surgeons, psychiatrists and specialists in using hypnosis for weight loss.
“[W]e rejoice that the remaining … hostages have finally been freed and reunited with their families,” said national president Carol Ann Schwartz. “…Our joy is tempered as we share in the deep sorrow of the bereaved families who await their loved ones killed in captivity.”

“The goal is first and foremost to stop the bleeding,” said Prof. Abd Al-Roof Higazi, director of Clinical Biochemistry at the Hadassah Medical Organization, in a Times of Israel article about his invention, which removes proteins in plasma that inhibit clotting.
