Message from the Lower New York State Region/ Chapter President

Welcome to Hadassah Lower New York State, a vibrant, active region with eight chapters and 3,500 members which provides many opportunities to learn, to lead and to do.

We support Hadassah’s mission to bring healing and justice to the world through medicine and research, saving at-risk youth and ensuring Israel's future by strengthening our connection to Israel and the Jewish people. As members of the largest Jewish women's organization in the US, our volunteers inspire passion and pride in their commitment to our lifesaving work. We enhance the health of people worldwide with our support of medical care and research at Hadassah's hospitals in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters with opportunities for personal growth, leadership, advocacy, education and Jewish continuity.

Chapter and region activities run the gamut — from programs about groundbreaking advances in patient care by our physician-scientists at Hadassah's hospitals to engaging in a variety of creative, fun projects we do at Hadassah, here at home. Learn about women's health and wellness practices, discuss the latest good reads and of course, there's always Mah-jongg! To keep you informed about all our activities, we publish a monthly calendar of events by email. You will also receive Kol Hadassah, Lower NYS's quarterly bulletin in your mailbox, and all members receive the award-winning Hadassah Magazine..

I encourage you to visit the Hadassah Lower New York State Facebook page for the latest news, programs and events.  We are always in search of new talent, new leaders and new ideas, and we invite you to explore the many volunteer opportunities we offer. Now is the time to step forward and help Hadassah unleash The Power of Women Who Do. Please contact our office at 973-241-1500 with any questions.

We have a place for you at Hadassah Lower New York State — it's where you'll want to be! We hope to meet you in person very soon.

L'hitraot,
Abby, Beth and Sue
