Dr. Tamar Elram Takes Helm at Hadassah Mount Scopus

The administration of Hadassah Medical Organization is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Tamar Elram as the new Director of the Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital.

Three excellent doctors were short-listed and Dr. Elram emerged as the winning candidate, elected unanimously by the appointments committee and the Board of Directors.

She is stepping into the large shoes of  Dr. Osnat Levzion-Korach, who has moved to the directorship of  Yitzhak Rabin-Assaf Harofeh Medical Center near Tel Aviv.  HMO takes this opportunity to thank Dr. Levzion-Korach for her many efforts and accomplishments for the hospital, its staff, and patients.

Dr. Elram, a specialist in women's medicine, has returned to  Hadassah, where she studied and served as deputy director of Hadassah Ein Kerem, from 2012-2014.

In the past two years, Dr. Elram has been managing Jerusalem's Misgav Ladach Hospital of Meuhedet Health Fund, while working as a gynecologist at HMO branches.

In her previous positions, she was the deputy physician of the Meuhedet Health Fund's Jerusalem district.

In addition to her medical studies at the Hebrew University –Hadassah School of Medicine and her internship in women's medicine at Hadassah University Hospital, she also completed her master's degree in public administration from Harvard University in Cambridge,  Massachusetts, in the framework of the Wexner Foundation.

She is bringing a wealth of wisdom, creativity, and compassion to this challenging and significant leadership position. "

Said Director General Professor Ze'ev Rotstein: "Tamar will begin her job in a few weeks, and I am confident that she will bring her superb management skills and her rich professional experience with her to the campus on Mount Scopus.

She has a deep sense of mission and a real people person. I congratulate Dr. Elram on her return home, and I congratulate the Hadassah staff on Mount Scopus, for the continuation of the sacred work bringing  Hadassah Mount Scopus to new heights in the forefront of Israeli medicine. Mount Scopus is in a period of renewal, with the installation of an MRI and other imaging equipment, upgraded delivery room, and a renovated maternity ward.

We have completed the planning of the innovative rehabilitation building and the master plan for further expansion. I know that Tamar will be a great leader to enrich and develop the medical center, our staff and the treatment it will provide to Israeli residents.
