Hadassah Ophthalmologist Is First Israeli to Receive ARVO Award

Prof. Jacob Peer, head of the Onco-Ophthalmology Department a Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, has become the first Israeli to win the prestigious Joanne G. Angle Award from the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

ARVO, the largest eye and vision research organization in the world, is comprised of nearly 11,000 researchers from over 75 countries. ARVO’s website describes the award as “the highest service honor bestowed by ARVO to a volunteer professional.”
