Yom Yerushalayim — a celebration not to be missed. Plus, more ways to connect with Hadassah.

We can't overstate the significance of Yom Yerushalayim to Hadassah. This Israeli holiday, beginning on Sunday evening, commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six-Day War in June 1967. For Hadassah, the reunification of the city also meant the reunification of our two hills of healing — Mount Scopus and Ein Kerem — as Hadassah was forced to abandon its original hospital on Mount Scopus, in 1948, when Jordan seized the Old City the day after the declaration of Israel's statehood.

For this reason, this truly is a "Chag Hadassah" (Hadassah holiday), one we'll be celebrating with a special virtual program you won't want to miss. Plus, we have other ways to connect with Israel, including a terrific program with former ambassador Michael Oren on May 13, and more ways to enjoy Hadassah from the comfort of home.
