Israeli Rock Star Danni Bassan Performs for NICU Babies

Danni Bassan, lead singer of the Israeli rock band T-Slam, along with music therapist Eyal Atzmon, performed at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus for the tiny babies and the medical staff who care for them day and night.

Twenty-seven premature babies, some requiring intensive care, are currently cared for in the NICU, which was moved underground following Operation Roaring Lion.

Talia Wizner, the NICU’s head nurse, explained how in times of emergency, care for premature babies continues with the same sensitivity, professionalism and dedication that characterizes the team during routine.

"Even in our new and temporary home, our team works around the clock to ensure each baby receives quality care while maintaining complete safety."

"These fortified surroundings received a warm embrace through the music brought by Danni Bassan and Eyal Atzmon with great tenderness and sensitivity."

"The parents, the staff and of course our premature babies were enveloped in amazing moments and gentle sounds that contribute to the calm and stable atmosphere we maintain here."
